We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deployment Technician to support a large-scale laptop deployment and technology refresh initiative. This role will be responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying end-user devices while ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for employees. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with users in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys combining technical troubleshooting with customer service. This is a contract opportunity with an Arctiq client located in Winston-Salem, NC where daily onsite presence is required.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in desktop support, deployment, or help desk environments
  • Experience imaging and configuring Windows laptops in an enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and peripheral support
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deployment appointments and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities

  • Image and prepare laptops for deployment using pre-configured enterprise images
  • Configure devices and validate proper application of group policies and security settings
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user profile issues during deployment activities
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments with end users for device swap-outs and upgrades
  • Deploy laptops to employees and provide onboarding support during setup and migration activities
  • Ensure successful transfer of user data, applications, and access where applicable
  • Document deployment progress, asset tracking, and support activities accurately
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate internal IT teams when necessary
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and customer-focused experience throughout the deployment process
  • Support inventory management, device staging, cable management, and workstation setup as needed
  • Follow established IT processes, security standards, and deployment procedures
