About The Position

Arganteal is seeking a hands-on Windows 365 and Windows OS Engineer to support a client’s fast-moving deployment and migration effort. The engineer will build and deploy Windows 365 Cloud PC environments, help migrate users from existing desktop environments, and tune and harden Windows OS configurations for security and performance. The role calls for a DevOps mindset, emphasizing scripting, automation, and repeatable deployment processes over manual, click-through administration. The engineer will work directly in deployment tools and consoles to implement configurations and rollouts, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with security and infrastructure teams, and document configurations and migration lessons. This is a fully remote contract consulting engagement for a US-based candidate, scheduled for 90 days with a potential extension. Contract-to-hire is possible but unlikely before Q2 2027. The role is full-time at 40 hours per week, with an immediate start. Level is mid to senior and flexible depending on candidate strength.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience engineering and deploying Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
  • Direct experience migrating users from traditional desktop or VDI environments into Windows 365.
  • Strong background tuning Windows OS for security hardening and performance optimization.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and repeatable deployment processes; not reliant on manual console-based administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Azure/M365 administration.
  • Track record of delivering technical projects independently and on schedule.
  • High sense of ownership and responsibility, with comfort serving as the go-to technical resource.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and troubleshooting habits.
  • Ability to start immediately and work quickly with minimal onboarding.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and deploy Windows 365 Cloud PC environments from the ground up.
  • Lead or support migration of users from existing desktop environments into Windows 365.
  • Tune and harden Windows OS configurations for security and performance.
  • Use automation and infrastructure-as-code principles for deployment and configuration where possible instead of relying on manual administration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout deployment and migration.
  • Personally execute configuration and rollout work in Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Azure/Windows 365 admin center tools and consoles.
  • Partner with internal security and infrastructure teams to align deployments with enterprise security standards.
  • Document configurations, migration steps, and lessons learned.
