About The Position

Arganteal is seeking a hands-on Windows 365 and Windows OS engineer to support a client’s fast-moving deployment and migration effort. The engineer will build and deploy Windows 365 Cloud PC environments, support migrations from existing desktop environments, and tune and harden Windows configurations for security and performance. The role calls for a DevOps mindset, emphasizing scripting, automation, and repeatable deployment processes over manual, GUI-based administration. The engineer will personally execute technical work in deployment tools and consoles, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with security and infrastructure teams, and document configurations and lessons learned. This is a fully remote contract consulting role for a U.S.-based candidate, expected to last 90 days with potential extension. Contract-to-hire is possible but unlikely before Q2 2027. The role is full-time at 40 hours per week, with an immediate start. The level is mid to senior, depending on candidate strength.

  • Direct experience migrating users from traditional desktop or VDI environments into Windows 365.
  • Strong background tuning Windows OS for security hardening and performance optimization.
  • DevOps mindset with experience in scripting, automation, and repeatable deployment processes; not reliant on manual console-based administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Azure/Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Track record of delivering technical projects independently and on schedule.
  • High sense of ownership and responsibility, with comfort serving as the go-to technical resource for the initiative.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong documentation and troubleshooting habits.
  • Ability to start immediately and work quickly with minimal onboarding.
  • Mid- to senior-level experience; exact level is flexible depending on candidate strength.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support migrations of users from existing desktop environments into Windows 365.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment and migration.
  • Personally execute configuration and rollout work using Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Azure/Windows 365 administration tools.
  • Partner with security and infrastructure teams to align deployments with enterprise security standards.
  • Document configurations, migration steps, and lessons learned.
