Window World of Hartford is seeking a skilled Window and Door Installation Subcontractor (1099) to join their team. This role offers consistent work throughout the year with a leading company in the window and door industry. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and desires the flexibility of independent contracting. Window World of Hartford provides a streamlined job site with staged materials and dumpster solutions, and all jobs are pre-measured for installation.
Requirements
- Direct experience with retrofit window replacement.
- Direct experience with full frame installation.
- Direct experience with sliding patio door installation.
- Direct experience with custom exterior aluminum trim / capping.
- Direct experience with retrofit door replacement.
- Must operate as an independent contractor (1099).
- Must have an active LLC or Business Entity.
- Must have General Liability Insurance ($1M+).
- Must have Workers’ Comp coverage.
- Must possess a reliable truck/van, trailer, brake, metal bender, and a complete set of power/hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform retrofit window replacement.
- Complete full frame installation.
- Install sliding patio doors.
- Perform custom exterior aluminum trim / capping.
- Complete retrofit door replacement.
- Coordinate scheduling and job details with the Window World of Hartford team.
- Maintain a clean job site.
- Exhibit a professional attitude with homeowners.
