About The Position

Operator will be required to insert a variety of windings random and form coils, read diagrams and utilize torches to braze connections on a variety of different windings, for taping insulation on form wound coils per specifications. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing high quality parts for the next internal customer in the chain. The Winding Technician is responsible for ensuring a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront every day; wind and store fibrous material.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • May require vocational or technical education

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process
  • Test condition of winding according to EASA standards
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
  • Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions
  • Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding
  • Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines
  • Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product
