About The Position

The Winding Technician is responsible for ensuring a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront every day; wind and store fibrous material. This role involves inspecting, testing, documenting, and communicating findings during the rewind process, testing the condition of winding according to EASA standards, and dismantling/stripping damaged or unserviceable equipment. The technician will prepare reusable parts for rewind, inspect renewed parts for damage, observe proper insulating techniques, administer daily maintenance on assigned lines, and identify/solve fabrication process problems without compromising product quality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process
  • Test condition of winding according to EASA standards
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
  • Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions
  • Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding
  • Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines
  • Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product
