The Winding Technician is responsible for ensuring a proficient flow of product with quality and safety, specifically winding and storing fibrous material. This role involves delivering on day-to-day objectives, following defined standard outputs and procedures, with work consisting of routine and well-defined tasks under close supervision. Communication is typically within the immediate job area, involving obtaining or providing information with little explanation. The role requires checking data, troubleshooting minor changes, and following established activities to find solutions, with a focus on self-development and limited prior experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience
• Must work well in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process
• Test condition of winding according to EASA standards
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding
• Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines
• Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product
