Winding Machine Operator- Composites [Composites Operator]
About The Position
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Machine Winding Operator to join our team. This position resides in our composite division. We’re a growing company with strong opportunities for advancement, offering challenging work and support for ongoing career development. We’re looking for a mechanically inclined, motivated team member who’s ready to contribute to our operation and grow with us. This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture composite tubes.
- Install Mandrels into winding machines
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Clean dies and molds, using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads or air hoses.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
