About The Position

RCL Services is seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and major component projects on utility-scale wind turbines throughout the United States. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs, as well as troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues. Technicians will execute work in accordance with OEM procedures and safety requirements, complete service reports and documentation, and support major component replacements. Travel is required to support customer projects nationwide.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to climb wind turbines and work at heights up to 300 feet
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to meet site-specific physical and safety requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting principles

Nice To Haves

  • Wind turbine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Major component replacement experience
  • PLC, converter, and electrical diagnostics experience
  • Experience on utility-scale wind turbine platforms
  • GWO BST, BTT, ART, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR/AED, or equivalent industry certifications
  • Rigging, lifting, crane/hoist, and signaling experience
  • Prior experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, or major component work on Siemens, V82, or similar utility-scale wind turbine platforms

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues
  • Execute work in accordance with OEM procedures and safety requirements
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and project documentation
  • Support major component replacements including gearboxes, generators, main bearings, blades, yaw systems, and other drivetrain components
  • Travel as required to support customer projects
