About The Position

Mortenson is hiring a millwright for the Four Horizons Wind Project in Seymour, Texas. The role is responsible for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and maintaining machinery and equipment in accordance with installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, and professional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, with active listening and effective communication skills, and openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; handling loads over 50 pounds requires assistance from another team member or equipment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receive and offload major components.
• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation.
• Connect blades to the hub.
• Set base and tower sections.
• Handle taglines.
• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown.
• Climb ladders averaging 80 meters.
• Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
• Torque and tension bolted connections.
• Build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
