About The Position

Co-op Legal Services is seeking Will Writers and experienced estate planning paralegals to join its team. The role offers exposure to a variety of cases and opportunities for progression, including internal trainee solicitor programmes focused on estate planning. The successful candidate will help clients plan for the future by proactively managing estate planning cases from start to finish, understanding clients’ needs, and drafting wills and other important documents. Support and guidance are provided remotely to deliver strong client service. The role is remote across the UK, with the option to work on site at the company’s offices.

Requirements

Previous experience drafting wills, advising clients on estate planning matters, and taking client instructions.
Proven experience drafting wills across a range of complexities, including technically complex estate planning matters.
Proven experience managing cases of varying complexity and achieving billing and productivity targets.
Ability to build positive relationships and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise and manage an independent caseload.

Responsibilities

Draft wills of varying complexity, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents, ensuring paperwork is accurate and professionally written.
Communicate with clients and external partners by phone and in writing throughout each case.
Manage an incoming caseload and coordinate with involved parties to bring cases to successful completion.
Maintain accurate client records and correspondence on company systems, meeting compliance and regulatory standards.
