About The Position

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) is looking for a detail-oriented Wildlife Licensing Specialist who is passionate about wildlife and possesses excellent communication skills. In this role, you will coordinate and manage all UDWR hunt drawings, ensuring they open and close accurately and on schedule by collaborating closely with wildlife coordinators for precise data. By joining our team, you will play an essential part in supporting statewide wildlife conservation. Working directly with the Administrative Assistant Chief, you will oversee and improve UDWR hunt drawings, directly influencing customer experience, licensing operations, and wildlife management program efficacy. On a daily basis, you will partner with the Administrative Assistant Chief, Licensing Coordinator, Department of Technology Services (DTS) staff, Wildlife Program Coordinators, and licensing support teams to provide efficient, accurate, and customer-centric service.

Requirements

  • Extensive background and familiarity with DWR hunt drawing procedures.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with the DWR's public process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge regarding administrative rules, wildlife laws, and licensing or draw systems.
  • Advanced comprehension of hunting and fishing regulations, including license agent sales protocols.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities, particularly within a wildlife, regulatory, or licensing framework.

  • Experience reviewing proposed statutes, rules, or policy changes and assessing their impacts on the division's operations and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all the UDWR hunt drawings.
  • Attend as a member on the Proclamation Review Committee (PRC), look over all guidebooks to insure accuracy.
  • Oversee the lifetime license program.
  • Handle customers needs that are associated with all the UDWR drawing.
  • Understand, know and be able to interpret Rules and Statue for the Division of Wildlife Resources.
  • Other duties, as assigned
