About The Position

As a Conservation Biologist, you will administer the wildlife conservation program in the Southeast Region, collecting field data on various native bird and mammal species and work towards conserving their populations and habitat.

Requirements

  • MS degree or BS plus 4 years experience or directly related work experience equivalent
  • Knowledge of wildlife management and conservation principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of research and monitoring principles and techniques including sampling and statistical analysis
  • Skills with a wide variety of wildlife field methods including capture and handling of birds and mammals
  • Knowledge of computer software including GIS
  • Ability to work independently
  • Field skills necessary to work or camp in adverse or remote locations
  • Driver's license

  • Knowledge of the flora and fauna of Utah with good field identification skills

  • Rabies vaccination

Responsibilities
