About The Position

Oconto County Department of Health and Human Services is hiring a full-time WIC Nutrition/Health Educator in Oconto, Wisconsin. The role provides nutrition, breastfeeding, client, administrative, and general support services for the WIC Program. It is responsible for WIC certification and nutrition education in accordance with the WIC Operations Manual. The position also assists with project coordination for public health initiatives, including community health assessment and planning, health education, community engagement, and grant coordination. This is a contracted position through Community Resource Specialist Staffing Agency (CRSSA). The schedule is 37.5 hours per week, and pay is $29.80 per hour.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related field, including at least six semesters of food and nutrition coursework from an accredited university; or Registered Dietetic Technician.
Ability to work effectively with people with varying levels of education, socioeconomic backgrounds, and values.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet community and program needs.
Advanced computer skills and software knowledge.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience working in WIC or another public health-related agency is preferred.
Graphic design skills and knowledge of tools such as Canva and Publisher are favorable.
