About The Position

THIS POSITION IS BASED AT OUR KANSAS CITY, KS. TERMINAL BUT PROVIDES DELIVERY SERVICES TO THE ENTIRE METROPOLITAN AREA. MUST BE ABLE TO CROSS STATE LINES. Scheduled shifts for this area is Monday through Saturday with various days off during the week. Due to employee retirements, business growth and expansion the AE Dairy is looking for SEVERAL route delivery drivers to become valued members of our team. Business-to-business transactions Long established customer base Professional sales & marketing guidance and support (no cold calls or direct sales) Company provided training No overnight travel Company provided uniforms steel toed boots Local, metro and regional delivery routes Well maintained, late model trucks

Requirements

• Must have a valid and current Class A CDL
• Must be able to communicate in English (Verbal, Reading, Writing).
• Candidates must successfully complete ALL Department of Transportation requirements, including a pre- employment medical examination, drug testing, physical capacity testing and background check.
• Company must be able to verify the accuracy of the candidate's application and employment history.
• Falsification or omittance of information submitted during application process is grounds for immediate disqualification.

Responsibilities

• Must have a valid and current Class A CDL
• Must demonstrate safe driving practices
• Must comply with all DOT regulations, company policies and procedures
• Start times can vary (depending on the route) from 10 PM- 4 AM.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis and be able to push/ pull heavy carts of product
• Learn and employ a system to organize and manage product loads
• Prioritize deliveries that meet the needs of our customers no matter the obstacles
• Demonstrate customer-focused professionalism in all interactions with customers and the general public
• Show enthusiasm for and commitment to the AE Brand
