From your PASSION to ours Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Whey Packaging based in Tulare. Reporting to Whey Supervisor(s), Whey Packaging’s primary responsibility is to cover all aspects of the whey packaging process.

Requirements

  • Must work in a safe, sanitary and productive manner in accordance with LHD GMP’s.
  • Specialized training or licenses relevant to the job.
  • Good business participation (i.e., Level 1, safety, process improvement).
  • Performed similar positions in the past.
  • Certifications and specific knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain a Pasteurizer’s License is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility to work in all aspects of the whey packaging process in a productive manner, following the applicable safety and quality procedures.
  • Strong ability to learn multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Cover all aspects of the whey packaging process.
  • Operate filling and palletizing equipment.
  • Operate forklift and store product in correct locations.
  • Sample powder.
  • Monitor overpack and equipment efficiency/reliability.
  • Perform daily and master sanitation of work area.
  • Provide coverage so team members can attend meetings, cross-train, work on projects, etc.
  • Assist with period cleaning, downtime, TPM, and other production needs, including emergency situations.
  • Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate and passdown business information.
  • Follow ILC process to complete training requirements.
  • Complete failure analysis, including root cause and corrective action.
  • Actively identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and support maintenance when needed.
  • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant’s QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Adhere to all requirements and process changes related to our Daily Management Systems implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
