About The Position

This position involves continuously monitoring dryer, finisher evaporator, and WPC performance, making necessary changes to operating parameters, and notifying management of any irregularities. The role also includes monitoring and verifying production and CIP modes, performing computer tasks, ensuring correct ingredient reporting, maintaining production records, conducting hourly quality checks, assisting in other production areas, and handling truck loading/unloading. Additionally, the operator will perform cleaning and sanitation tasks, minor maintenance, and minimize water usage and wastewater generation, all while adhering to GMP, quality, sanitation, and safety policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to use commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division including decimals and fractions
  • Knowledge of and ability to use various computer applications
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in a production area of the plant or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Mechanical Abilities highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor dryer, finisher evaporator, and WPC performance and make necessary changes to operating parameters.
  • Notify control room lead person/management of any irregularities in the performance of equipment.
  • Monitor and verify that proper changes and connections have been made for production and CIP modes of operation.
  • Perform computer tasks as needed.
  • Insure correct reporting of ingredients to the inventory management system.
  • Maintain all production records in an orderly fashion.
  • Perform hourly quality checks.
  • Assist in other production areas as required.
  • Assist in loading outgoing and unloading incoming trucks of whey concentrate as required.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment and quality standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position.
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
