About The Position

This role involves providing training for Wheeled Vehicle Recovery Operations (91B/E/L/S) and Tracked Vehicle Recovery Operations (91A/H/M/P). The instructor will deliver performance-oriented training through classroom sessions, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises, including simulation/virtual training and field exercises. Responsibilities include testing, planning, conducting additional training, providing remedial assistance, and managing course administration. The instructor is expected to adhere to the Program of Instruction, including task, condition, and standard requirements. As a subject matter expert, the instructor will participate in revising and updating Programs of Instruction, lesson plans, and training support materials to ensure doctrinal accuracy and alignment with current training strategies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining equipment, entering faults, performing Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), preparing classrooms and training environments, and conducting/recording academic counseling.

Requirements

  • Completed the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC), or its equivalent within the last five (5) years and the TRADOC Initial Military Training (IMT) Installation Staff and Contractors Course (ISCC). Refresher training must be completed if outside the five years.
  • Completed Blackboard 101 Instructor Training within 3 years of work and dependent on the course being instructed.
  • Possess the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Additional Skills Identifier (ASI) specific technical training for which being hired and have been certified.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the technical and tactical training experience in the MOS for which they are performing the instruction.
  • Minimum of three years specific experience in teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals.
  • Possess knowledge of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding the MOS.
  • Capable of passing all hands-on and written student tests in accordance with the Ordnance School Instructional Management SOP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization, planning, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding communicative skills both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Be able to successfully complete all required training during period of employment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience/expertise in the 91B, 91H, 91P or 91S MOS and hold ASIH8/ASIH9.
  • Be a graduate of the 610-ASIH8 (91B/E/L/S) or 611-ASIH9 (91A/H/M/P) course.
  • Possess a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience/expertise performing tasks or missions for ASIH8 or ASIH9.
  • Possess a State of Virginia Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Must be capable of entering water pits, mud pits, and sand pits in performing the Recovery Training Division's mission.
  • Must be able to perform outside in the rain, snow, sleet, fog, humidity, dust, wind, and pollen and in extreme weather as low as 10°F and as high as 110°F for the entire workday.
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity, or Information Management or related discipline or the minimum experience listed below
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cyber range or computer test bed environments.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Program Management or SR level DoD experience or Defense Industry Civilian Professional working with SR level DoD personnel.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting Army and Joint Cyber Training.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, evaluate, and lead Cyber training programs effectively.
  • Working knowledge of OT/IT technologies, cellular systems, networking, and IT management.
  • A NA/CI background check will be required for this position.

Responsibilities
