About The Position

IMCO Carbide Tool in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring a Wheel Technician for their Manufacturing department. This role requires no prior experience as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a strong desire to work. The primary function of this role is to ensure consistent wheel performance, which is critical to the manufacturing process and the quality of tools produced. Responsibilities include building wheel packs according to specifications, dressing wheels, maintaining equipment, storing and organizing wheel packs, recording wheel pack usage, taking inventory, and providing reports. Employees are expected to adhere to all safety policies and procedures, with a primary goal of ensuring all employees return home safely each day.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. required
General math skills are necessary (a math test will be administered)
Ability to do hands-on work
Effective communication skills (verbal, written)
Ability to work with a diverse environment
Ability to adhere to a schedule on a regular basis
Mechanical aptitude
Problem solving skills
Reliable transportation required
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to safely handle wheels, wheel packs, and tools
Ability to follow instruction and operate a machine safely and correctly
Flexibility of hands/fingers for handling tools, wheel parts, and for data entry purposes
Visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to walk or otherwise ambulate
Ability to bend or reach to retrieve materials

Responsibilities

Build wheel packs per specifications
Dress wheels and maintain equipment
Store, organize, and maintain wheel packs
Record the usage of wheel packs
Take inventory and provide reports as requested
