As a Wheel Remanufacturing Technician II your essential job functions include: Working on site in our Dent Wizard wheel remanufacturing facility, you’ll fix cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels) using power tools and work aids. Tasks include inspecting wheels, prepping, truing and buffing defects. Perform the following items (80%) Inspection: Thoroughly inspect wheels for damage, cracks, bends, or other issues. Evaluate the extent of damage to determine the repair or refurbishment required. Disassembly Strip the old finish or paint from the wheels using remanufacturing industry standard techniques. Cleaning and Preparation Clean and degrease the wheel surfaces to prepare them for repair. Sand, grind, or use other methods to smooth out imperfections and remove rust or corrosion. Prepare polish wheels for the polishers. Operate and maintain polishers to industry standard. Repair and Restoration: True or straighten wheels to correct bends or dents. Prep wheels to ensure a smooth and even surface. Quality Control and Service Excellence (20%) Perform quality checks to ensure that the wheels meet safety and appearance standards. Make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Other Duties as Assigned
