About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a Wheel Prep Technician. This role involves preparing wheels for polishing machines, inspecting them for damage, and managing their movement between machines. The position requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. We provide training for this role.

Requirements

• Able to lift 30-50lbs continuously, 60 lbs. on occasion
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent practical experience
• Comfortable with handling heat and wearing protective gear
• Strong commitment to quality with genuine care for the product and work
• Professional credibility, including responsiveness, team focus, and commitment to working in a safe environment
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods while standing
• Physical capability to access all areas of the facility, withstand activities like walking, and standing
• Multi-tasking ability while maintaining accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
• This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to observe and inspect part quality
• Lift and move totes weighing up to 50 pounds
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, both below the waist and above the head
• Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation and able to access all areas of the building without limitations

Responsibilities

• Sand and prep wheels for polishing machines
• Inspect wheels for any visual damage
• Manage and move wheels between polishing machines
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices
• Other duties as assigned
