Experienced Wheel Loader Operator – Mining / Quarry
About The Position
Rock Pros USA is hiring an experienced Wheel Loader Operator for its Silver Bell quarry in Avra Valley, Arizona. This full-time position operates in an active surface mining and rock crushing environment and combines feed loader, stockpile loader, shipping loader, and mining loader responsibilities. Assignments may vary according to daily production needs. This is a hands-on position, not limited to operating equipment from the cab. Operators are expected to assist with tasks such as shoveling, clearing material buildup, crusher or screen maintenance, and other plant operations as needed. The role supports the quarry crew and daily production while maintaining safety, material quality, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Experience operating large wheel loaders or front-end loaders.
- Ability to perform feed loading, stockpile management, truck loading, and general quarry material handling.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment safety, inspections, and basic maintenance.
- Ability to work safely around crushers, conveyors, haul trucks, and other mobile equipment.
- Ability to recognize equipment problems and communicate maintenance needs.
- Willingness to perform physical labor and general plant maintenance, including duties outside equipment operation.
- Reliable attendance, good communication, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions and company safety procedures.
- Ability to complete required MSHA training and comply with site safety requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying Arizona weather, around dust, noise, vibration, uneven terrain, and moving heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Previous mining, quarry, aggregate, or rock crushing experience.

Responsibilities
- Safely feed rock and material into crushers, hoppers, and processing equipment while maintaining consistent production flow.
- Build, maintain, organize, and manage material stockpiles while preventing contamination and maintaining safe operating conditions.
- Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently, verify material types, and communicate with drivers and shipping personnel.
- Load raw material, manage material movement within the quarry, and support mining and production operations.
- Operate large wheel loaders safely and efficiently in an active quarry environment.
- Perform pre-operation inspections, monitor equipment conditions, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and minor repairs within training and authorization.
- Maintain safe travel routes, loading areas, stockpiles, and work zones.
- Communicate with foremen, haul truck drivers, mechanics, and other crew members.
- Support daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Assist with general quarry operations, housekeeping, and plant maintenance as needed.
- Perform physical labor outside equipment operation, including shoveling, clearing material buildup, assisting with crusher or screen maintenance, and supporting other plant operations when needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and complete required MSHA training.
