About The Position

The Quarry Loader Operator operates heavy equipment, specifically quarry loaders, to move and load materials within a quarry environment while ensuring efficient and safe material handling operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders, in a quarry or construction environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting, in various weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude for routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with aggregates such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operating controls, and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the loader and loading zones.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic control plans.
• Communicate with truck drivers, plant operators, and other quarry personnel to coordinate loading activities.
• Monitor material quality and report inconsistencies or contamination.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks, such as greasing and cleaning, as needed.
