About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for day-to-day production and quality goals within the warehouse area. Supervises, motivates, and supports the staff daily, schedules, strategizes, and oversees all prediction activities while continually exceeding quotas and maintaining profitability.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification required.
  • 3-5 years warehouse experience.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience of at least 25 employees.
  • Able to fully utilize Microsoft Office, WMS, ERP software.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Able to apply written instructions to machine set up and maintenance.
  • Excellent knowledge of all facets of print production, press, inks, and graphics.
  • Having a working knowledge of operations including automated workflow system for both digital and press production.
  • Ability to perform all warehouse functions when necessary (hands on).

Responsibilities

  • Organizes workflow according to the workload to meet delivery schedule and complete assigned jobs and reviews incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Monitors employees and temporary associates’ activities; offers assistance and address any concerns.
  • Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized and acceptable manner.
  • Assures all work entered production follows the standards and procedures.
  • Maintains a layout plan that streamlines the storage and retrieval of goods.
  • Ensure worker safety and health regulations are followed.
  • Schedule, plan, and conduct, when necessary, Warehouse Team meetings.
  • Plans workload and sets goals for the employees to meet.
  • Ensure employee safety training is conducted as required by the company.
  • Responds to orders efficiently so that products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Addresses logistical problems and provides solutions to these issues.
  • Meets with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues, among other concerns.
  • Take all necessary actions to manage warehouse costs and improve profitability.
  • Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained.
  • Advise the Warehouse Director if anything is needed to increase productivity.
  • Evaluate production equipment/troubleshoot if necessary.
  • Ensure the correct Equipment and Supplies are available.
  • Coordinate and manage all inventory supplies in your department to ensure minimal waste and spoilage.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and respect for individuals.
  • Supervise the warehouse team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Director and the Warehouse Team, informing them regularly to guarantee that objectives are met.
  • Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals and guides. Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Meet all assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing their goals.
