WGLT/WCBU Extra Help Reporter
About The Position
WGLT and WCBU, the NPR member-stations in Normal and Peoria, IL, are seeking correspondents to report a variety of stories for their newsroom. While radio experience is preferred, individuals with newspaper or TV backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Work hours are flexible based on availability and can be performed at the WGLT or WCBU offices/studios or out in the field, depending on the story assignment. This is an Extra Help position, meaning employees may work up to 28 hours per week across all University employment and are paid only for hours worked. Extra Help employment does not guarantee permanent placement and is limited to a maximum of 900 total hours. All work under this appointment must be performed within the State of Illinois.
Requirements
- Professional or student media experience in print or broadcast journalism
