Extra Help Recycling Driver
About The Position
This position provides assistance in the operation of a campus-wide recycling program under general supervision. It is an "Extra Help" role, meaning employees are limited to working up to 28 hours per week across all University employment and a total of 900 hours during their employment. Extra Help employees are paid only for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits, including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, they are eligible to participate in the University’s supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.
Requirements
- Valid Class C (non-CDL) Driver's License
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to climb, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach overhead
- Ability to push, pull up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
