About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Wet Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience in wet painting, including proficiency in using spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers. This role requires expertise in mixing paint and primer correctly, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of quality. The Wet Painter will also be responsible for safely using full respirators and working from ladders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wet painting in a production or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in the operation of spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers.
  • Knowledge of correct paint and primer mixing techniques to achieve the desired results.
  • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes.
  • Capable of safely working at heights and using ladders to access hard-to-reach areas.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and proper use of full respirators and other PPE.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime/weekends, as needed, to meet customer and in-house demands.
  • Must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in daily activities is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wet painting of various components and materials, ensuring quality, precision, and consistency in each job.
  • Operate and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers to apply paint and primer.
  • Mix paint and primer according to proper specifications and ensure the correct consistency for application.
  • Inspect parts and surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards before, during, and after painting.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Understand and follow safety protocols, including the use of full respirators and other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safely work from ladders when required for painting hard-to-reach areas or large parts.
  • Ensure paint jobs are completed within project timelines and meet or exceed company standards for quality and finish.
  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to address any challenges or concerns that may arise during the painting process.
