About The Position

At Valmet, we are looking for a Product Manager responsible for applying wet end and dewatering technology offerings to find customer solutions within the performance parts/consumable portion of our business. This role involves providing the best customer solutions, developing growth targets, and ensuring product presentations are tailored to customer needs. The candidate must possess a technical understanding of wet end solutions and dewatering offerings within the performance parts group. This position requires significant external customer interaction for solution generation and internal interaction for defining specifications and scopes. Responsibilities include project development, reviewing technical specifications and drawings, providing technical support, and assisting sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions. The business area responsibilities are in North America, with the possibility of some international travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A good understanding of paper machinery.
  • Knowledge of wet end related products and technologies.
  • Ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions.
  • Travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Applying wet end and dewatering technology offerings to find customer solutions.
  • Providing the best customer solutions.
  • Developing growth targets within each area.
  • Ensuring product presentations are tailored to the specific needs of customers.
  • Defining specifications and scopes.
  • Project development.
  • Reviewing technical specification and drawings.
  • Providing technical support.
  • Assisting sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions.
  • Generating and/or proposal drawings, graphs, simulations and/or specifications and assist with quotes.
  • Supporting Engineering and Inspectors/drafters with applying the latest Valmet technology.
  • Developing and maintaining strong technical competence in wet end and dewatering technology, including training responsibilities for internal and external customers.
  • Working closely with PEP PSM’s in North America to develop and grow the wet end and dewatering (DWEA) business.
