About The Position
The Exercise Center Attendant supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position supports the Wellness team with welcoming and engaging facility users.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certified – (Will be provided by the YMCA upon hire)
- Experience in the health and fitness field preferred
- Use of a variety of fitness equipment
Nice To Haves
- Must be willing to earn and maintain American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification (Certification will be provided by the YMCA upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage facility users.
- Maintain high visibility in the Wellness Center area; conduct periodic walk-throughs.
- Enforce Wellness Center policies.
- Provide equipment orientation and timely follow-up.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of environment.
- Adhere to emergency procedures and safety precautions.
- Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
- Obtain and maintain required training(s).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
