The Wellness Nurse supervises the delivery of care and services to residents, performing procedures within state and local regulations and accepted standards of care. Ongoing communication between the Wellness Nurse, associates, residents, families, professional consultants, and third-party providers is critical to residents' well-being.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency
• CPR/AED certification
• 1+ year of experience as an LPN in a senior care setting
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening
• Willingness to comply with our drug-free workplace policy

Nice To Haves

• Experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
• Demonstrate good decision-making skills.
• Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
• Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
• Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
