About The Position

Monarch Communities is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This part-time role focuses on providing warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship to residents. The LPN will administer or assist with medications, monitor resident well-being, communicate changes in condition, and collaborate with the Wellness Director and Assistant Wellness Director on resident assessments. Requirements

  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing.
  • Current state license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, with current LPN license
  • Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and of nursing practices, techniques and methods applied to health and wellness resident
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
  • Stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • Lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
  • Use proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years’ experience with long-term care, assisted living, home health or hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship.
  • Administer or assist with medication for residents according to the Resident Care Plan.
  • Engage residents while checking on their well-being and communicate changes in condition or Care Plan.
  • Inspire your team and collaborate with the Wellness Director and Assistant Wellness Director in assessing and documenting resident assessments at state or Retirement Unlimited specified intervals.
