About The Position

The Piper, a senior living community in Kansas City, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wellness Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team. This full-time position involves three 12-hour shifts per week, offering full-time pay and four days off each week. The role focuses on providing meaningful resident relationships and a supportive team environment within an elegant Assisted Living and Memory Care community.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
CPR/AED certified.
At least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Supervise delivery of care and services to residents.
Perform procedures within the guidelines of all state and local regulations and accepted standards of care.
Maintain ongoing communication with associates, residents, families, professional consultants, and third-party providers.
Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel.
Monitor the condition of residents in Assisted Living.
Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
Provide resident care according to healthcare providers' orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
Accurately administer prescribed medications.
Supervise the continuity of resident care.
Respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs.
Perform first aid as required.
Other job duties as assigned.
