About The Position

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role focuses on providing warm and engaging personal care services, assisting with medication administration, and monitoring resident well-being. The LPN will collaborate with the Wellness Director and Assistant Wellness Director to assess and document resident needs, contributing to a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Requirements

  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing.
  • Current state license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, with current LPN license
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and of nursing practices, techniques and methods applied to health and wellness resident
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
  • Often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • Required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
  • Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents.
  • Must use proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

  • No experience needed! We welcome new grads and experienced nurses!
  • At least 2 years’ experience with long-term care, assisted living, home health or hospital setting preferred
  • Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship.
  • Administer or assist with medication for residents according to the Resident Care Plan.
  • Engage residents while checking on their well-being and communicate changes in condition or Care Plan.
  • Inspire your team and collaborate with the Wellness Director and Assistant Wellness Director in assessing and documenting resident assessments at state or Retirement Unlimited specified intervals.
