About The Position

This role is for a Wellness Educator/Instructor at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. The position is 100% FTE, typically Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional early or late start times. The role involves teaching or coaching in diet/nutrition or exercise, conducting health risk evaluations, and creating/implementing new plans with attention to detail and outcome measurements. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience in creating and introducing new plans with attention to detail and functionality and outcome measurements.
Licensed Dietician, Registered Dietician Nutritionist, or NETA – National Exercise Trainers Association Wellness Coaching Certification required.
NETA, ACE, or ASFA certified group fitness instructor certification or RYT 200 certification from a Yoga Alliance accredited school.
Basic Life Support/CPR Certification within 3 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

Preferred degree to be in a related healthcare field (exercise physiology, dietician, nursing or other pertinent health care field).
At least 2 years teaching or coaching experience or equivalent in the field of diet/nutrition or exercise.
Experience with individual and group health risk evaluations or testing.
