About The Position

Functional Pathways is seeking a Part Time Wellness Coordinator to join their team at Friendship Village Chesterfield. This role involves teaching wellness classes and supporting the wellness program through various tasks. Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree from accredited institution preferred, Exercise Science and/or Sports medicine related field a plus; or 1+ years’ experience coordinating Wellness Programs and or teaching group fitness classes.
• Must hold current BLS certification.
• Previous group instructor for the adult population.
• One year of experience planning, teaching, and motivating individuals.
• One year of experience in working with the elderly population.
• Fluent providing Exercise Prescriptions and conducting individual and group sessions on topics related to all dimensions of wellness.
• Must possess characteristics such as good written and verbal communication, innovative, a self-starter, and team player.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities to stay updated with advancements in the field.
• Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods to evaluate and treat patients.
• Physical strength and dexterity to facilitate therapeutic activities, assist with transfers, and use equipment.
• Capacity to lift and position patients as needed during therapy sessions.

Nice To Haves

• Exercise Science and/or Sports medicine related field a plus.
• ACSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of wellness classes and programming for their campus(es).
• Lead classes.
• Develop programming.
• Conduct fitness testing.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping for all wellness services provided through Functional Pathways.
