About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a fitness coach to join their team. This role involves connecting people of all abilities to healthier lifestyles by helping members feel comfortable with fitness, teaching them how to use equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe center. The position aims to change lives and make a positive impact on the Y community.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
- Fitness experience preferred
- Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor
- Excitement about helping members learn new equipment
- Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members and building relationships
Responsibilities
- Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience
- Build strong relationships with members and guests to facilitate their fitness goals
- Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor
- Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members in the usage of fitness and wellness programs and services.
- Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
