About The Position

The Wellness Coach is responsible for providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to patients. Collaborate with the clinical staff daily to assist with facilitating groups and recreation activities. Provides individual assistance to patients pertaining to wellness activities and/or needs outlined in the facility treatment plan, documenting all meetings, groups, and interactions appropriately in the electronic health record.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a recovery coach, lead behavioral health technician, or other related position in substance abuse treatment, behavioral health care, or health care.

Nice To Haves

• CAC preferred and/or any other professional license or certification relevant to the position.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare related studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the organization's day to day program and activities related to wellness activities as assigned by the clinical staff and/or Clinical Director.
• Facilitate group activities as scheduled and/or directed by the clinical staff and/or Clinical Director.
• Responsible for supporting facility AMA activities and/or crisis interventions.
• Responsible for facilitating daily recreational activities within the facility.
• Provides ongoing care, treatment, services, and support daily to ensure efficient clinical and operational flow.
• Provides support and motivation for the patients; daily motivational interaction to enhance the treatment program.
• Ensures that all interactions, interventions, and communications are properly and promptly documented in the medical record or other appropriate documentation tool as required.
