Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Wellness Clinician-Licensed (LSW/LAC or LCSW/LPC) to join an evidence-based program and a dynamic team. Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, rehabilitation counseling, or other related behavioral health or counseling program.
  • LSW or LAC required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • No more than one moving violation in the past twelve months.
  • Vehicle required.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with persons with mental health disabilities preferred (for LSW/LAC).
  • Practitioner of the healing arts licensed in New Jersey required (LCSW or LPC).
  • A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), who shall possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, rehabilitation counseling, or other related behavioral health or counseling program.
  • In addition to a Master's degree, licensed marriage and family therapists must have one-year experience in a community behavioral health setting or be certified as a psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner (in lieu of the one year of experience in community behavioral health setting).

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language, respectful documentation, and person-centered planning.
  • Ensure all services provided promote wellness and recovery outcomes.
  • Maintain a culture of compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, laws, and high ethical standards.
  • Complete the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessment on an ongoing basis and contribute to its development (under clinical supervision).
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and update the Individualized Recovery Plan/Individual Recovery Plan (IRP) (under clinical supervision).
  • Offer services appropriate to meet client needs as identified in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessment (CRNA) and included in each individual’s IRP.
  • Perform therapeutic rehabilitative skill and resource development as outlined in the CSS Regulations.
  • Perform crisis intervention as indicated.
  • Coordinate and manage services in conjunction with the team.
  • Utilize WRAP and other relevant health and wellness curriculum to ensure overall wellness is a key focus in the individual’s recovery plan.
  • Perform evidence-based practices appropriate for implementing community support services, which may include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral and Educational Strategies, Trauma Informed Care, Permanent Supportive Housing, IMR, and Career Services.
  • Provide mental health education, skill training, and supportive counseling in the home and other natural environments to clients and significant others.
  • Utilize a clinical skill-set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse individuals through a trauma-informed and recovery-based lens.
  • Provide administrative supervision of daily tasks in conjunction with the team leader and Wellness Clinician LCSW or LPC (for LSW or LAC).
  • Coordinate referrals and linkages to housing, mental health, substance abuse, medical, and various social service providers as needed for the individual.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for clients with acute psychiatric needs whose circumstances and conditions require rapid intervention.
  • Provide stages wise treatment utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral techniques.
  • Utilize cognitive behavioral techniques including: modeling, role playing, relapse prevention, relaxation, encouragement, and reinforcement to teach and normalize community interaction.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.
  • Conduct outreach to newly enrolled individuals and encourage those reluctant to accept mental health services through interventions with them and/or family members and friends concerned with their welfare.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings for scheduling in the absence of the team leader, ensuring completion of the daily contact log.
