Wellness Associate
About The Position
The Wellness Associate is responsible for assisting and educating customers on Life Extension’s unique, cutting-edge formulas and answering health-related questions. This role requires thorough knowledge of Life Extension literature, maintaining an 80% or better on monthly magazine quizzes. Key duties include operating the cash register, performing cycle counts, preparing mail order shipments, replenishing shelves, handling incoming phone calls, processing customer returns, and participating in annual physical store inventory. The associate will also perform opening/closing duties according to SOPs and checklists, share ideas to benefit the Nutrition Center, and demonstrate flexibility with scheduling based on departmental needs. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
- Intermediate knowledge of vitamins and dietary supplements required
- Strong customer service mentality
- Ability to stand up to 95% of the time
- Ability to lift 10 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and reach overhead on a regular basis
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of experience in retail environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Alternative Medicine or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists and educates customers on Life Extension’s unique, cutting-edge formulas and answers health related questions
- Thoroughly reads all Life Extension literature to ensure product knowledge is up to date; achieve an 80% or better on monthly magazines quiz
- Operates cash register
- Performs cycle counts as needed
- Retrieves products and prepares for mail order shipments; replenishes shelves with inventory, block and face store shelves
- Answers incoming and inter-departmental phone calls
- Receives and process customer returns
- Participates in annual physical store inventory
- Performs opening/closing duties as directed according to SOPs and checklists
- Shares ideas, information and experiences that will benefit the Nutrition Center and/or company
- Displays flexibility within the department; willing to make necessary schedule changes based on departmental needs
- Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
- Additional duties as assigned
