About The Position

Terrapin is seeking a Wellness Associate to join its expanding team. As a Clinton County, Penn.-based cannabis company, Terrapin is a leader in the medical and recreational cannabis industry, cultivating and processing high-quality products. With over 15 years of experience, Terrapin was licensed in Pennsylvania in 2017 and has grown to over 200 employees, with plans for retail expansion in the state. Wellness Associates serve as the primary point of contact for patients, embodying Terrapin Care Station's mission and goals. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining extensive product knowledge to meet patient needs, and educating patients on safe product consumption. Additionally, they must be proficient in the laws governing medical marijuana sales to ensure compliance. They play a crucial role in the seed-to-sale process, ensuring a positive customer experience. Terrapin Care Station, founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2009, is a family-owned company recognized for its patient-focused cultivation and production of high-quality medical cannabis. Its products are available across Pennsylvania, supported by a commitment to quality, transparency, and affordability. Terrapin is also dedicated to corporate responsibility and advancing equity within the industry, operating under brands like Double Bear, The Woods, Terrapin, and Resolute Remedies, and is actively pursuing new dispensary locations in Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass state-mandated background checks and successfully complete the Department of Health's 2-hour training course
  • Must be organized and maintain a neat and clean work station
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
  • Must be able to perform simple math
  • Must be willing to learn about new products and cannabinoids
  • Must be aware of and abide by all laws and compliance surrounding retail operations
  • Must possess a willingness to learn the effects and applications of concentrates and other THC infused products
  • Experience in the use of cannabis with a willingness to learn strain genetics, including their properties and effects
  • Is familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Must be able to operate the point-of-sale system and maintain accurate cash handling practices
  • Must have 1-year of cash handling experience
  • Must have 1-year of customer service experience
  • Experience frequently interacting with customers, fulfilling customer requests and addressing customer issues, questions, or suggestions
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work

Responsibilities

  • A customer service professional, greeting all patients in a warm, sincere and helpful manner
  • Consistently delivers the ultimate customer experience in all facets from patient entry to exit; ensures each patient receives full attention during their transaction
  • Assists patients with choosing the right products according to their ailments
  • Ensures orders are fulfilled efficiently with 100% accuracy at all times
  • Abides by product handling procedures, including company safety and health policies as well as regulatory agency compliance
  • Checks patient IDs and conducts transactions at POS
  • Remains upright on their feet, particularly for sustained periods of time, up to 88% of the work day
  • Moves about on foot to accomplish tasks to meet customer/patient needs
  • Helps keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping
  • Provides customer education about products and uses
  • Works with leadership to understand company goals and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management
