About The Position
Wellness Advocate Product Quality & Freshness Lead at Nutrition Nest at Preserve Life. Nutrition Nest at Preserve Life is a revolutionary integrated wellness destination combining a longevity clinic, beauty boutique, retail store, and experiential restaurant under one roof. Located on 1,200+ acres of pristine forest with spring-fed lakes, just West of Atlanta, we are redefining how health is experienced. Guided by evidence-based nutrition science, functional medicine pathways, curated healthy aging products, and transformative dining, Nutrition Nest is designed to help people not just live — but come alive. Opening December 2025. This role involves inspecting all retail products (produce, supplements, dry grocery) for quality, ripeness, freshness, and expiration, removing spoiled or short-dated items, managing inventory using FIFO, maintaining shrinkage sheets, performing quality checks, and communicating concerns to the Retail Director. Team support and training on quality standards are also part of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in retail, grocery, or food quality control
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including weekends or evenings as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience with produce, supplements, or wellness products
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory management
- Food safety certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Inspect all retail products (produce, supplements, dry grocery) for quality, ripeness, freshness, and expiration
- Remove spoiled, damaged, or short-dated items promptly from all retail areas
- Check and record all sell by/expiration dates
- Rotate stock using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) across all categories to minimize waste
- Maintain an accurate shrinkage sheet, recording all product loss and reasons
- Perform regular quality checks throughout the day for the entire store
- Communicate quality concerns and trends to Retail Director
- Train team members on quality and rotation standards
- Model best practices in product handling and safety
- Assist with merchandising and product displays
- Support additional retail operations as assigned
