About The Position

As an integral part of a team, the Wellness Advisor is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience by exceeding guest expectations and being involved in all aspects of the Spa's operation. This role is responsible for providing gracious and efficient guest service from the point of arrival to departure. The Wellness Advisor must also be knowledgeable of the spa facilities, services and products, hotel property, and the surrounding area. Responsibilities include curating a personalized guest experience, maintaining the facilities, point of sales, as well as managing spa appointments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Ensure familiarity with all hotel services/features to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Computer skills specific to Spa
  • Time management

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Halekulani Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Provide a personalized spa and wellness consultation for each guest
  • Provide clear and accurate communication in-person, via email and on the phone
  • Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests
  • Manage spa, salon and wellness reservations
  • Maintain knowledge of all property, facility or hotel and Spa features/services, hours of operation, all hotel and Spa policies and procedures, treatment availability and waitlist status, current promotions and/or discounts available, and current groups "in-house" and their billing for spa services
  • Read communications boards, logs, memos and e-mail messages prior to beginning shift
  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency
  • Maintain a positive attitude with guests and co-workers
  • Maintain a Cashier's bank
  • Describe in detail, Spa treatments, products, and facilities
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain a safe, well-equipped and clean work area
  • Properly open and close the Spa each day according to standard operating procedure
  • Assist with escorting guests
  • Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned
