About The Position

Requirements

Associate’s degree or two-years of college or technical school certification in Criminal Justice or related field AND 5-8 years in investigative experience OR Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Criminal Justice or related field AND 1-3 years in investigative experience.
Valid driver’s license
Successfully complete a background investigation
Clay County Application must be submitted for all County positions.

Responsibilities

Conducts investigations of alleged or suspected violations of public assistance laws, rules and regulations.
Prepares welfare fraud cases to be submitted to the County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Investigates and settles fraudulent case situations administratively according to MN State Statutes and the Intentional Program Violation Process.
Maintain proper case records and effective case management systems.
Perform related administrative functions.
Other duties as assigned.
