This position involves performing various welding functions, including clamping and aligning sheet metal parts, and high-precision TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and steel sheet metal components (primarily 10–22 gauge). The role requires reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand material requirements, welding specifications, and delivery sequences. The technician will set up and secure parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamps to ensure accurate tolerance, producing clean welds with minimal distortion for efficient finishing. Responsibilities also include visual inspection of welds, protecting the finishing of parts, collaborating with senior technicians, performing routine maintenance on welding equipment, and maintaining a clean work area. The role also involves actively participating in safety initiatives, adhering to safety protocols and health regulations, maintaining accurate production records, and supporting other departments as needed.
