About The Position

Kendall Howard is a growing manufacturer serving the IT infrastructure field. We are looking for a Welding Technician II for our 2nd shift. This role is accountable for the setup, maintenance, and operation of assigned machines. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Production, the technician will complete all work orders according to specific instructions. This role also plays a key part in training, evaluating, and organizing department staff. Requirements

  • Setup, maintenance, and operation of assigned machines
  • Completion of work orders according to specific instructions
  • Checking parts to print
  • Proper labeling and movement of parts
  • Reporting irregularities on work orders
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of work area
  • Adherence to all safety procedures and policies
  • Troubleshooting and assisting in equipment repair
  • Maintaining high quality in all produced parts
  • Meeting all Key Performance Indicators

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of welding experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete all work orders assigned to that area
  • Check that all paperwork on each job order has the matching revision level
  • Check all parts to print
  • Ensures all parts are properly labeled and moved to the next area when completed
  • Informs the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Production about any irregularities on work orders
  • Maintain their area regarding organization and cleanliness
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception
  • Works with the V.P. of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as requested
  • Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts that are produced
  • Works with the Quality Auditors, Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality parts are always produced
  • Meet all Key Performance Indicators
  • Works with HR and department lead to train new staff
  • Assists in the evaluation by providing regular feedback of new and current staff
