About The Position

The role of Team Lead is crucial in ensuring manufacturing excellence at the plant floor level. Safety First – Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same. There are four pillars that a successful Team Lead will do: Coaching, Guiding and Developing Teammates: As a Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for providing guidance and coaching to your team members. This involves helping them improve their skills, addressing any performance gaps, and fostering a positive work environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential at Lindsay. You’ll need to understand each team member’s strength and areas for improvement to provide targeted support. Driving Improved Results: SAFETY: Ensure that safety protocols are followed rigorously. Promote a safety-first culture among team members. QUALITY: Monitor product quality and address any deviations promptly. Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain high standards. SERVICE: Meet production targets while maintaining service levels. Timely delivery and customer satisfaction are critical. COST INITIATIVES: Optimize processes to reduce costs without compromising quality. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement them. Supervision and Leadership: SUPERVISION: Monitoring work progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, and addressing any issues promptly. LEADERSHIP: Inspiring and motivating team members. Set an example by demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. COACHING AND TRAINING: Provide ongoing training to enhance skills. Address performance gaps through constructive feedback. Physical Inventory Management: STORAGE: Ensure that inventory items are stored appropriately (organized, labeled, and protected from damage). ACCESSIBILITY: Make sure team members can access inventory items efficiently. ACCURACY: Reconcile physical inventory with records. Address discrepancies promptly. Assist in accurate and timely inventory control management both physically and transactionally. Other duties as assigned by his/her manager to ensure the best possible Safety, Quality and Cost deliverables for Lindsay.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to analyze information effectively and present results through reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, organize, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
