Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of College Education or 5 years of Manufacturing Supervision Experience.
  • Excellent Computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – Microsoft Suite Proficiency.
  • Proved Team Leader experience (minimum 3 years) required.
  • Automotive or industrial experience required.
  • Experience as a welder in automotive or industrial (minimum 2 years) required.
  • All employees are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable policies, procedures, and internal controls; executing assigned control activities; maintaining appropriate supporting evidence; and promptly reporting any identified deviation, risk, or control deficiency to the direct leader.

Responsibilities

  • Use and encourage the use of appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, report unsafe acts and conditions, and follow up on reported unsafe conditions until resolved, escalating when needed.
  • Discuss safety issues and recommendations with team members.
  • Create schedules for Team Leaders and Technicians (Quality/Welding).
  • Support Weld Engineers/Quality Engineers as needed.
  • Manage the Kronos system for schedules, overtime, and vacations for Team Leaders and Technicians (Quality/Welding).
  • Audit PM & OMC and provide feedback.
  • Train and develop training plans for Welders, Weld Techs, Welding Specialists, Quality personnel, Quality Techs, and Quality Specialists.
  • Maintain the training area and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Follow standard procedures for Process Changes.
  • Develop and support new projects, engineering changes, and new technologies (e.g., new equipment, consumables).
  • Assess training needs for new projects.
  • Manage Cost Center's budget.
  • Request and approve the purchase of welding equipment, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Develop RFQ for all welding equipment on the SPX system.
  • Monitor welding consumable expenses (weld wire, mixed gas, tips, etc.).
  • Maintain 5s in cabinets and work areas.
  • Develop and support ESS initiatives.
  • Support and implement MOS practices.
  • Answer and react to line calls based on the escalation policy, escalating problems to engineers.
  • Manage the Non-conformance Yellow Seal Process (Batch & Hold).
  • Conduct ICA/Containment Audits (Batch & Hold - Assembly).
  • Oversee the Cut & Etch Validation Process (recuts).
  • Follow up on ICA (Immediate Corrective Actions).
  • Ensure outside repairs have the suspect window.
  • Oversee product inspection check practices (NP-UPAS-GAP checks/Preventive reteach/ tic sheets/Feedback).
  • Ensure the team has necessary resources.
  • Follow up on corrective actions (quick report) with the FRT.
  • Support and lead problem-solving execution.
  • Assure corrective action implementation across the lines.
