About The Position

The Welding Supervisor leads manufacturing and distribution activities for EFCO forming systems. This role supervises production operations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, while supporting inventory management and employee development. Additionally, this role serves as a key representative of management on the shop floor, promoting a positive work culture and continuous improvement in support of EFCO’s goals.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • CWB Certified Welding Supervisor.
  • Proven leadership and team motivation experience.
  • Excellent PC skills required.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and production drawings.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership to hourly production employees while monitoring performance, ensuring accountability, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Administer daily production schedules, allocate resources effectively, oversee departmental operations, and maintain alignment with EFCO’s quality and efficiency goals.
  • Apply Leadership, Responsibility, and Technical Skills to drive results and employee engagement.
  • Manage the layout and organization of production materials, ensuring efficient use of space and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate raw material flow and finished goods movement to support customer delivery expectations.
  • Demonstrate Judgment and Organization in balancing workflow and resource availability.
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of hourly team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, guide career development, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment standards.
  • Foster a high-performance environment through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.
  • Train employees on equipment use and enforce EFCO safety protocols.
  • Proactively identify safety risks, lead incident investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Use Leadership and Adaptability to model safe behaviors and corrective action where needed.
  • Support a respectful, team-oriented work environment by recognizing contributions, resolving conflicts, and encouraging collaboration.
  • Apply Oral Communication and Emotional Intelligence to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with department goals.
  • Support special projects and broader plant initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to EFCO’s operational success.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required to meet departmental or organizational goals.
