About The Position

We are seeking a professional, innovative and detail-oriented individual for our Welding Process Engineer position within our Vertical Integration Division. If you are looking for a welding engineering role supporting new manufacturing initiatives, working to military specifications, and leading cross-functional projects in pursuit of problem solving in world class manufacturing facilities, then this position could be for you! Expected Job Duties: Provide welding engineering support to design, fabrication, and support teams Specify, develop, implement, and sustain welding and welding-related processes Improve quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of welding processes in accordance with strategic objectives Apply problem solving skills to identify root cause Evaluate new equipment and processes Interpret results and provide recommendations to management This job might be for you if you are a US Citizen and if: You have a B.S. in Welding Engineering or related technical field You are knowledgeable in welding metallurgy and GTAW and GMAW processes You have strong problem-solving skills and can effectively manage projects You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills You are quick to learn new skills and open to taking on new responsibilities You enjoy working in a team environment You may be a stronger fit for this position if: You have experience developing and supporting welding processes in a manufacturing environment You have extensive experience working in accordance with standards/specifications, especially military or aerospace specifications You have a working knowledge of NDT processes You have hands-on experience with welding and fabrication processes Physical Requirements Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours Vision correctable to 20/30 or better Differentiate color Competitive pay. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
