About The Position

Miller Motte College, part of Ancora Education, seeks an instructor to deliver educational materials using sound educational practices that support students’ academic development. The instructor uses instruction to develop knowledge and skills in students’ chosen fields and help them achieve their educational and career goals. The role fosters an engaging, dynamic, student-centered environment and provides support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. Instructors model professional behavior and ethical conduct in alignment with Ancora Education’s mission and core values.

Requirements

Hold active certification or licensure where required.
Have at least 5 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
Qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and lab instruction, assess students, and use classroom management techniques to create an engaging educational experience.
Ensure students are presented with the material needed to meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
Prepare instructional materials and equipment for student use, ensure adequate quantities, and maintain equipment in working order.
Participate in faculty assessment and professional development activities; maintain required certifications and licensure.
Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
